Brians dream helps by telling him to make a fire. If it was not for the porkipine brian wouldn't of thrown the hatchet and made sparks. So he thought of useing the hatchet to make fire.

I think it's good that he threw his hatchet because he wouldn't of had the dream and if he didn't have the dream he wouldn't of thought how he could make fire .
His dreams help him by having people in them that tell him importand things such as in one of his dreams his dad and friend,Terry show him fire which later when Bryan heard a movement then he threw the hatchet which made sparks! Later Bryan found a way to make fire. Whiched helped him alot and I agree with J.N and M.V without fire her would be misrable.
It reminds him to think about the sparks and then he remembered sparks could make a fire. When a bird came it snatched a fish that made him think of food.
